About MeHello, my name is Laura Johnson and I am an undergraduate studying Genetics and Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I currently do research on the NF1 gene in the Wolman Laboratory on campus using zebrafish as a model organism. We aim to understand how the nervous system filters irrelevant stimuli, so we study this through habituation and learning assays.
This website was developed as part of the Genetics 564 capstone: Genomics and Proteomics taught by Dr. Ahna Skop at UW-Madison. In the Fall of 2017 I will be attending the University of Minnesota-Twin Cites for a PhD program in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology & Genetics. |
